I used 3 layers of bees wax and then placed the photo down. I used two thin layers of bees wax over the photo and then did the shellac. I then scraped off some of the shellac over that image area.

I really like how you did this with the 2 pictures and some of my fav colors. Did you apply a lot of wax? I didn't know you could shellac burn of paper surface....?

fabric and wax

I like to use fabric pieces in my wax.  When applying  wax (using encaustic iron) the material saturates and becomes very dark.   Can anyone tell me how to retain the pattern and light area of the material??See More

This is a photo printed on water color paper and fused on 8x8 board and then painted with wax and then a shellac burn.
